ACORNS 4 ran from October 2018 to April 2019. Forty-six early stage female entrepreneurs living in rural Ireland completed the programme. At the end of the cycle, all participants reported that participation in ACORNS was of value to their business.
- Participants reported an increase in annualised sales of 43% over the six months of the cycle.
- There were 13 participants that became exporters for the first time, representing an increase of 112%.
- There were 19 additional part-time employees hired during the period.
Participants were also very positive in terms of their experience of the initiative with 97% of participants reporting that they made a decision for their business and 95% reporting they felt nearing to achieving their ambitions.
